Question Answered

Does the projector lens deteriorate over the years? My Epson EX51 is pretty blurry now. Asked by al t. On Aug 09, 2017

It is possible that the projectors lens has gone bad. The lens is the #1 component that focuses the image and makes it clear. That being said, I would double check your setting and see if that fixes it. I would also recommend removing the lamp and seeing if the glass lens on the lamp is not cracked. If all looks ok my only other recommendation is to take the projector to an authorized Epson dealer to run a diagnostic.

Question Answered

The picture that displays on our the screen from our Epson EX71 has become dull and faded looking, Could this be from the lamp needing to be replaced? Thank you. Also, is your product a genuine Epson replacement lamp? Asked by Linda C. On Jan 21, 2018

One of the main signs of a failing projector lamp is when the image on the screen begins to dim or fade. We highly recommend to replace that lamp as soon as possible. The lamp we offer for this Epson model is a 100% OEM bulb manufactured by PHILPS, OSRAM, USHIO, or PHOENIX enclosed in our own MyProjectorLamps branded module. It will also come in a MyProjectorLamps branded box. We are able to obtain a full OEM lamp with original bulb, original housing, and original packaging as well but its a special ordered product and not available on the site.

Question Answered

What is the meaning of "module"? Asked by mahesh g. On Jun 11, 2019

The module refers to the black housing that protects the bulb. We recommend that customers choose lamps with modules unless they have experience installing bare bulbs. Modules allow for 'plug-n-play' easy installation.

Question Answered

I have an Epson H309A projector and the lamp light and temp light turn on and turn red, but my fans work. What should I do? Asked by juan s. On Dec 21, 2019

If the Lamp light and Temp light are red or flashing red on your Epson projector, then there are a number of things you need to do. If the Lamp light is flashing red, then there may be a problem with the lamp. Check if the bulb is burnt out, broken, or installed incorrectly in the projector. Replace or reinstall the bulb as needed. Clean or replace the air filter. If the projector is mounted on the ceiling, then turn on High Altitude Mode on your projector. Check the projector's manual for the steps on how to do that. Also, it may be an internal projector error. Turn the projector off and unplug it. If the Temp light is flashing red or is a solid red, there are also a few reason as to why. First, if the light indicator is solid red, then the projector has overheated and turned off. Leave it turned off so it can cool down. Once the Temp light turns off and the power light turns orange, make sure the vents and air filter are not clogged with dust or obstructed by nearby objects. If the Temp is flashing red, then a fan or sensor in the projector has a problem. Turn the projector off and unplug it. If none of this works and the indicator lights are still flashing red or are solid red, then you may need to just replace the bulb. If the indicator lights are still on, then contact our customer support: 1-888-785-2677.
