Question Answered

I have a Eiki LC-G250. If my projector runs for approximately 1 hour and then goes into standby mode, does this mean that I need to replace the bulb? Asked by Brian H. On Nov 08, 2020

It's very likely, especially if your lamp is old. However, it can also be overheating, which would mean you will want to clean filter. If cleaning the filter does not solve the problem, it might be a fan issue. Then, check your led indicator lights and consult your manual to see if it provides a solution.

Question Answered

My Sanyo PLC-XT25 is projecting with a large dark spot in the middle of the image. Is it time to replace the bulb and is there anything else I should do? Asked by Mark W. On Nov 11, 2021

You can try replacing the lamp, but if the dark spot still appears, clean the external and/or internal lens of the projector. Or dust or remove any debris inside the internal projector. Also, double check if the settings on your projector are not out of order and are on the default settings. If they are on default, then it may be an overheating problem. The fan inside the projector may be broken, check if you can hear the fan inside the projector. If not, you may need to get the fan repaired or replaced. If the fan is in working condition, then it may be time to replace your broken DMD chip. If the spot is still there, some of the internal hardware may be burnt out.
