Social Media: Everyone LIKES Lamp
It has been said by many social media gurus, that if you or your business are not on Facebook, then your business does not exist. A bold statement, but it does hold some truth. Over 500 million people are registered on Facebook. Millions more follow their favourite pop stars over Twitter. And the worlds second most used search engine: YouTube, is arguably used by billions. Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube are no longer sexy catch phrases. These are the tools and instruments used my consumers on daily, if not, an hourly basis. They form the platform on which final purchasing decisions are made; thanks in part to sharing of information from their social networks. Therefore, the staff at MyProjectorLamps have recently published their own social media pages (including FB, Twitter, and YouTube). These pages will be used to communicate to our existing and potential new customers, offering them relevant and timely information on projector lamps, bulbs, and projectors. Companies that fail to adapt to these social changes may no longer be communicating to their customers effectively. The consumer can now choose what they want to see, not what the ad agencies want them to see. If social media is used effectively, the end user will gain insight on product choices, instil a level of trust with the lamp business, and finally LIKE or refer the page to their own network of friends.
How will we contribute to the online social world? MyProjectorLamps will be starting to post instructive videos via YouTube to help existing customers put their minds at ease. Already, the How-To-Install-a-Barelamp video has seen over 1,000 hits. Other video topics will include: Projector Maintenance, OEM vs. Aftermarket, and many more.
The Twitter feed, by nature, is designed to grab customers attention with quick hits of information. MyProjectorLamps will be able to tell customers when a lamp is going on sale, provide special discount codes, and alert customers of important buyer-beware news stories. Our tag on Twitter is #myprojectorlamp.
The final social media tool that MyProjectorLamps will use is Facebook. The hope is that Facebook will be able to create the buzz that all companies aspire from their customers. Posts on FB need to be informative but also interactive. They need to drive the user to want to do something. The highly coveted LIKE is a way to track the relevance. Lamp and bulb pictures will be posted on a regular basis. Quick tips and how-to instructions will also be shared online.
Be sure to follow us on your preferred social media outlet of choice. As always, for more information on projector lamps, projector bulbs, and RPTV lamps, be sure to check this trusted source.
