Cold Filtered Fan: Keeping Your System Efficient!

Digital Projection International is releasing 3 new projectors this year that will probably set the benchmark for efficiency. Two new “Lightning� series projectors are being manufactured as well as a “Titan� series projector, and these will probably set the tone for the upcoming year in regards to fan technology. DPI is a company that is known for being a vanguard in research and design, and has come out with a cooling system that will keep your projector running longer and better.

As we all know, keeping your projector cool will help keep the components inside to function to their capabilities. Like you personal computer, your projector has a motherboard loaded with a processor. As the processor runs for a long time, it needs to be cooled in order to function without overheating and shutting down.

One of the most expensive components in your projector is the projector lamp. Your lamp life can be cut short if your projector is overheating and your fan and cooling system cannot ventilate properly. DPI has designed and patented technology known as CoolTekTM, which employs their SilentStreamTM fan system. This is a series of fans that can acknowledge adjustments in heat through thermal sensors. As the projector warms up it activates more fans to keep the projector cool.

Despite having a series fans, the SilentStreamTM technology keeps them running at a low audible noise level, so no to disturb you while watching your favorite movie. Also note that this system is not recycling the same air, but bringing in fresh, cool filtered air keeping components crisp and efficient.

The bottom line here is that since your lamp is kept much cooler, through the use of CoolTekTM technology, the heat is better extracted and therefore you will get better lamp life. This is a “no brainer� considering most of us cringe at the thought of having to buy another projector lamp. If all of your components are running more efficiently and working together properly, your projector will last longer and experience fewer problems.
